Leadership

Capital. Technology. Stewardship of the platform.

Three principals lead Equorix end-to-end — investment strategy and capital deployment, deep-technology and engineering, and corporate administration across the platform.

Executive Director

Sam Pai

Executive Director · Investment Strategy & Capital

Sam leads Equorix's overall investment strategy, fund operations, capital deployment, and portfolio governance, drawing on more than 25 years across venture capital, hedge fund management, private equity, and investment banking. His mandate is to deliver high-performing, risk-adjusted returns through a disciplined, cross-border, multi-asset approach.

He founded Gramercy Partnership in 1999, where he directed over $80 million in equity investments across healthcare, internet commerce, and enterprise software, and advised on more than $350 million in corporate transactions. In 2005 he launched Providence Consulting, supporting more than $200 million in capital raised across eight companies and advising a China-focused fund that grew from $8 million to $450 million in AUM.

His expertise spans alternative investments, structured credit, growth equity, private lending, and complex capital structures. He has conducted due diligence on over 100 companies across Asia and the United States, advising family offices, institutional clients, and cross-border partners.

Corporate Administrator

Finn Gallagher

Corporate Administrator

Finn administers Equorix and oversees the platform end-to-end — from technology and IP architecture through capital structuring, global commercial rights, and the operating subsidiaries the HoldCo stands up.

His career sits at the intersection of deep technology and commercial structure: assessing scientific defensibility, structuring cross-border rights packages, and building the operating infrastructure required to translate a portfolio into industries. He has led commercialization programs across materials science, energy storage, robotics, AI-enabled manufacturing, and structured technology transactions across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

He believes the rarest skill in technology investing is not finding breakthroughs — it is building the machinery that turns them into enterprises.

On the team

"The hardest problem in technology commercialization isn't intellectual — it's organizational. We hire people who can see both the patent and the P&L in the same frame."

How we work

Small team. Long horizon.

Generalist by design

Every operator at Equorix works across the full lifecycle — from technical diligence through OpCo standup. The platform is too varied for narrow specialists; the work demands people who can navigate science, structure, and execution in the same week.

Owner-operators

Associates and analysts at Equorix own outcomes, not workstreams. Each engagement is carried by a small pod with direct accountability to a Managing Partner. We hire for judgment over credentials, and structure the team to make judgment compound.
